As a follower of our succesful cdrom control module the CDPLAYER module comes as a more advanced and integrated solution for a digital player combining a completely new IDE control firmware (v. 2.0) and an integrated audiophile-quality d/a converter on a single board. Just plug a cd/dvdrom drive at the module's ATA port and enjoy high-quality audio at the outputs via the sp/dif converter. The module can work as a standalone d/a unit, standalone control or together as an integrated player.

Please reffer to product manual for proper setup and wiring. You will need a paralell-ata cd or dvdrom drive. Make sure you are using a good quality, short ide cable to avoid communication errors between controller card and the cd-rom. Communication errors may lead to unstable operation.
A high-constrast, wide viewing angle PLED display is available. Optionally, any HD-44780 compatible, 2x16 or 2x20 characters display will work with the module. You can download display specifications (2x20) from here. Here as well is important to use short wires when connecting the display, some models seem to be sensitive. Consult your display datasheet and product manual for proper wiring with the module.
The remote control protocol supported by the module is RC-5. Accordingly any Philips-compatible cd-player remote should work. The recomended power supply should deliver +/- 12Vdc. Please reffer to product manual for further specifications.
