This is a state-of-the-art digital to analog conversion board designed to match the CD-PRO2 or other I2S digital output interface cd-player mechanism/module. Not much is conventional on this board, from analog interpolation to discrete power-supply modules. No trivial IC's, series or shunt, are used to power the digital and analog conversion stages, but discrete regulator modules designed at AD Labs. Two or four AD1865N can be used for 2x or 4x resolution enhancement. CD-PRO2 mechanism can take it's supply directly from the I2S board.
Details:
input format : I2S or EIAJ , 24 or 32 bit
time-shifting analog interpolation
2x or 4x resolution enhancement
S/N ratio : 110 dB
THD+N : 0,05%
true R2R dacs (2 or 4 AD1865N can be installed on board)
no digital filtering
output voltage : 2Vrms (max.)
output impedance : 30 ohms
The I2S card is designed to form together with CD-PRO2M module (or with other source which outputs I2S digital audio data) a highend cdplayer unit. The CD-PRO2M module can be directly connected to the card, taking it's supply from it. In order to get maximum performance, note the AC PSU requirements (four separate ac supply inputs).
The I2S card has four discrete power supply modules. With ripple rejection in exces of 100 dB and very good hi-frequency attenuation and less noise, the discrete module outperforms classic supply IC's with a significant margin.
